- Do not use solvents under any circumstances. Use a damp cloth to clean your purse or wallet.
- Waterproofing provides very good protection. It also helps prevent stains and resist soiling.
- Rub grease stains with a clear rubber eraser, then wash with gentle soap and re-waterproof.
- Smooth leather: treat with a leather conditioner intended for smooth leather every 3 to 6 months, according to product instructions.
- If your wallet or purse gets wet, do not expose it to high temperatures to dry, e.g., under a heater. That would dry out the leather excessively.
- Wiping with a damp cloth is the best way to remove dust. This will return the leather’s natural glow.
